The Arkenis Group join forces with 'Help For Heroes' in launching their fund raising "Arkenis Help for Heroes Appeal" for new Headley Court Rehabilitation Complex.
The Arkenis Group, a pan-European IT Services and Solutions Group based in Leatherhead, Surrey launched, in support of the Help for Heroes charity, a fund raising campaign from within the local and business community, to raise a target of £2.5 million towards the proposed new Treatment Rooms, Gymnasium and Swimming Pool complex at Headley Court, the Defence Medical Rehabilitation flagship centre in Surrey.
Headley Court and The Arkenis Group are neighbours in Surrey and following an invitation earlier in the year to visit Headley Court, the Directors of Arkenis were overwhelmed by the high standard of medical excellence and the specialist treatment of wounded servicemen and women being carried out there. It was following this visit that a decision was made to initiate a fund raising campaign, by targeting the local and business communities, to raise monies towards the proposed new complex. The launch of the appeal took place at Headley Court on 23rd November and had as its Guest of Honour, General Sir Richard Dannatt, Chief of The General Staff and Head of the British Army.
Affi Khanbhai, Chairman of The Arkenis Group said:
'We are committed to raising the awareness of Headley Court within the local and business community and feel enormously privileged to be initiating this major fund raising activity on their behalf. We were delighted to be contacted by the newly launched charity Help for Heroes' to work closely with them in support of their work at Headley Court. The Arkenis Group has become Help for Heroes 'First Corporate Patron' working closely with them in raising funds for the new Rehabilitation Complex Appeal.
